WIP and Summer Plans

WIP work in progress

Now that Clara’s Return has been released, I have a new WIP (work in progress).

I was planning on working on The Bookwyrm Series and whip it into a decent novella. However, after pecking at it, and getting some advice on it, I decided that it would be best to back burner it. I don’t know why, but it felt very intimidating, and I have promised myself that the next Lands of Sun and Stone Series will come out next year.

The next book in the Lands of Sun and Stone Series is tentatively being called Willows of Hope. I’m bad with titles, so it wouldn’t be surprising if I changed this one.

My current WIP is slow going, so I’m considering taking part in the July Camp NaNoWriMo for a little extra motivation. I’m not sure. I haven’t been able to complete a NaNoWriMo challenge (the big November one or one of the camps), so I’m not sure it’s motivation enough anymore. I could take another writing retreat but I’m technically doing that in November, when I go to Salem for the Writing Unboxed UnConference.

I rather like the idea of getting away for a week. I enjoy traveling and staying in hotels or bed & breakfasts. The Husband is a writer as well but is having a bit of trouble focusing. Yeah. I’m definitely starting to sense a writing retreat coming on.

The rest of the summer is probably going to consist of trips to the beach and the farmer’s market. Yay for summers!

Do y’all have any plans for the summer? Are any of you hip deep in a WIP?
