Today, I learned about this beautiful thing called National Poetry Writing Month, or, NaPoWriMo. It’s like NaNoWriMo, but with poetry!
I wrote poetry before I really started into fiction and I’ve been wanting to get back into it. The object of NaPoWriMo is to write a poem for a day for thirty days. To keep me honest, I’ll be posting a poem every day on this blog, good or bad.
(If any of my poems end up elsewhere on the Internet without my permission…I will find you.) So, without further ado, here is today’s poem! And it’s a kind of backwards haiku because my brain quit after three lines!
I am torn, scattered pieces,
thrown into the wind,
to be tossed over the world.
